Recall on eleven million bottles of pain reliever

We have a consumer alert about one pain reliever that could contain metal fragments!

Eleven million bottles of acetaminophen pain reliever sold under several store brand names are being recalled after the manufacturer found trace amounts of metal particles in the caplets.

The Perrigo Company announced the recall of their 500 milligram strength acetaminophen pills.

Perrigo manufactures several drugs that stores use as their brand name products.

FDA officials say there have been no reports of injuries or illness and they believe the chance of a serious adverse reaction is "remote."

If a consumer swallows one of the affected pills they may have minor stomach discomfort and cuts to the mouth and throat.
