Here's why she wanted to be one of The Mid-South's Biggest Losers:
"I am a 39 year old single mom, who has forgotten that I needed to take care of myself. Five years ago, I was diagnosed with major depression, and has been dealing with it ever since, long-term. In addition to this, I just found out that I have diabetes, it runs in my family, and being 325 pounds does not help. Before I had children, I worked out alot, lost about 54 pounds on the Weight Watchers plan, and had energy for days. Now, it's hard to get a work out in. I know that that is the biggest part of my problem with my weight loss. I'm not trying to get sympathy, I am trying to get help. Just a jumpstart to my life, so that I can be better. Not just for my children, but also for me. Lastly, my biggest concern is that my daughter, who is seven, is overweight. I realize that I have not set the right example for her. It affects her self-esteem, and I understand that. I want to be a better example for her. Thank you."
