As we observe the 78th birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., we'll honor him with this edition of "Your Turn."
I selected three of his quotations which mean a lot to me.
First, from his Letter from Birmingham Jail: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
Then, this one which probably rings true for journalists everywhere: "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
And finally, this one is my favorite. "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
That's a turn in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.
