YOUR TURN: Jane Shaw says police need to start small

Now it's "Your Turn" and this edition of "Your Turn" goes to Jane Shaw.

Shaw is one of many people who have written or called to make suggestions in response to the "Taking Back Our Neighborhoods" initiative.  She thinks we need to go back to enforcing what she calls the "small" laws.

She writes:

Everyday, I see police ignoring people littering, driving with kids bouncing around (not in seat belts), running red lights, etc. My children are starting to notice, too. My seven-year-old often asks, "Why isn't the police officer going to do something?" It's a tough one to answer.

That's Jane Shaw's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email or call 901-726-0546.
