COPY-School systems close early as weather threatens

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Public school systems are closing early because of potentially violent weather.

Most schools in Middle Tennessee close the doors at noon -- others are canceling classes by one p-m.Tornado watches are in effect for the western two-thirds of the state in advance of a cold front pushing in from the west.No violent weather had been reported by noon, Central time, in Tennessee.But a twister killed a seven-year-old girl in southern Missouri earlier today.
