Marshall asks Council members to fire away

In a memo to fellow Memphis City Council members, Chairman Tom Marshall has asked colleagues to build the list of questions for which they want answers in the growing inquiry into shady billing practices at Memphis Light Gas & Water.

In particular, the Council is looking into reports that Councilman Edmund Ford was allowed to go several years without paying bills on three separate home and business accounts, leading to a $16k debt to the company.  MLGW's President Joseph Lee apologized for the practice.
