Tigers Almost Ready to Head to New Orleans and NCAA Tournament

It's not quite time to tip it off yet...

But, it's getting close...

The NCAA Tournament just about here for the Memphis Tigers...

The guessing is over. Memphis earned it's 2 seed in the South regional...now it's time to play some ball.

Tigers Guard Andre Allen says, 'We have perform because if we lose we're done till next year.'

Sr. Jeremy Hunt knows what's at stake.. The Schools' first ever National Championship in Hoops.

Right now we have a chance to do something special...something this school has never accomplished before but we have to do it together.'

John Calipari says last year's disappointment in the elite 8 isn't a rallying cry for his players. But what they're hearing on TV is.

But first, the Tigers must face a North Texas team that won the Sun Belt conference Tournament by defeating Arkansas State.

They've also beaten Conference USA teams Rice and Tulsa.

The Mean Green are coached by former Tiger Interim head coach Johnny Jones...he's led the school to just its second NCAA bid in school history.

Calipari adds:

'They're very athletic. The wings are long and they're good at rebounding. Especially offensive rebounding.'

Some fans might find it a pain to get tickets. The University is only being allowed 550 and they have to split them up among the players, their families, and top donors. So your best bet is ticketmaster.

Game time is 11:30am Friday for the Tigers and North Texas.
