An investigation is underway after a 19-year-old was stabbed to death in Brunswick early Sunday morning.
Investigators with the Shelby County Sheriff's Department said David Patten, 19, of Cordova, was stabbed during a party at a house in the 8500 block of Jack Bond Road just after 4:00 a.m. Sunday. Patton was airlifted to The MED, where he died a short time later.
Shortly after, investigators took Zachary Perry, 18, of Arlington, into custody in connection to the attack. Perry was charged with second degree murder Sunday afternoon.
Investigators said neither Patten nor Perry lived at the house where the stabbing occurred. Several people were present at the time of the stabbing.
