Attorneys commissioned by City Councilman Tom Marshall are responding to a scathing report criticizing its investigation of preferential treatment involving Edmund Ford.
Action News 5 first told you about a document the attorney of MLGW President Joseph Lee wrote regarding the investigation into the Edmund Ford fiasco.
It claimed the investigation was flawed and lacked objective evidence.
In response to that document, attorneys for Glankler Brown released a rebuttal saying they found President Lee actively participated in MLGW's decision to grant Councilman Ford preferential treatment and directed Ford's business be on the On-Trak program to keep his utilities from being cut off.
Robert Spence also claims the investigation didn't try to find the origin of the "Third Party Notification" list.
But Glankler Brown says that was not within the scope of their investigation.
