Sunday was the first Sunday service for the new presiding Bishop for COGIC.
Bishop Charles Blake leads services at the West Angeles Church of God in Christ in California.
Services were streamed LIVE on the internet this morning.
Bishop Blake told his congregation he appreciated their help and he promises he's not going anywhere.
"Thank God for your support, for your prayer as we enter into this new and wonderful venture, this new and wonderful endeavor. And I've said before I ain't going nowhere I just got this other job." said Blake.
The Church of God in Christ's General Assembly appointed Bishop Blake as the denomination's seventh presiding Bishop.
Blake had previously served as the first assistant presiding Bishop under Bishop GE Patterson.
Patterson died last month.
