COPY-FBI informant says Tennessee state senator threatened him during bribery investigation

MEMPHIS, Tenn. The federal bribery trial of former state Senator John Ford continued today with an F-B-I informant back on the witness stand.

Tim Willis testified yesterday Ford told him he'd "shoot him dead" and tell his wife he ran off with anther woman if Willis were gathering evidence against him.Willis was a political activist in Memphis and became a lead informant in the Tennessee Waltz public corruption sting. He is now a convicted felon.Ford is accused of taking 55--thousand dollars in bribes from a fake F-B-I company called E-Cycle Management that supposedly wanted to change state law for a business advantage over competitors.
