Ford attorney says he'll `keep fighting'

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The attorney for former state Senator John Ford says Ford will, "keep fighting."

Mike Scholl commented after Ford was convicted today of accepting $55,000 in bribes.

Scholl described his client as "fine" after the verdict. But he said Ford is not happy with the one conviction count of bribery.

Scholl said he would not second-guess anything with respect to the jury.

He would not comment on tapes played during the trial that showed Ford accepting money from an undercover FBI agent.
