Missing MVSU student found dead

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi Valley State student missing for three weeks has been found dead.

Holmes County Sheriff Willie March says an autopsy will be performed on the body of Louis Scott Junior to determine the cause of death.

March says he was informed that a body had been found in a white Monte Carlo by a lake near Hollandale.

It is unclear when the 21-year-old Tchula native died. Scott was last heard from early on the morning of April 22.

He told roommates he was going to stop at a friend's house in Leland, then go home.

Scott was a sophomore criminal justice major who had served one tour in Afghanistan as a member of the Army National Guard.
