NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Eight-hundred thousand tickets were sold for tonight's first Million $ Madness drawing in the Tennessee Lottery.
Four $1 million prizes will be doled out, along with two winners of $50,000 each and 100 winners of $500 each.
Lottery officials cut off ticket sales at 800,000, the prearranged cap, late last night. With 800,000 tickets sold, ticket holders have a 1 in 200,000 chance to win $1 million.
The game will mean an estimated $3.2 million in proceeds for education in the state.
