Million dollar tickets bought in Manchester, Knoxville, Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The four winning million dollar lottery tickets in the Tennessee Lottery's Million $ Madness were bought in Manchester, Nashville, Knoxville and Old Hickory (near Nashville).

The winning numbers were announced this evening. Two winning tickets worth $50,000 each were bought in Ardmore and Cordova.

There also were 100 winners of $500 each.

The lottery's Web site was so busy after the numbers were announced that lottery players had a hard time connecting to it.

The winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.

Eight-hundred thousand tickets were sold for the Million $ Madness --- the first such game in the history of the Tennessee Lottery. T

he game means an estimated $3.2 million in proceeds for education in the state.
