Memphis City Councilman Edmund Ford may be forced to move his mortuary if an auction doesn't go his way this weekend.
The owner of the property where Ford's mortuary sits is selling it.
Three adjoining lots along Elvis Presley Boulevard are also hitting the auction block at high noon Saturday.
Dennis Churchwell says he had nothing against Ford, until he was summoned to the federal grand jury investigating Ford's unpaid utility bills.
"I've spent a lot of money on attorneys and have no reason to even hire an attorney. I just want to get rid of it and wash my hands of it, and that's what I'm doing," says Churchwell.
We're told Ford plans to bid on the property.
Churchwell says it will go to whomever is the highest bidder.
