BB gun found after driver reports student with gun

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Chattanooga police have charged a 15-year-old boy with bringing a gun onto a school bus.

Officers boarded the bus around seven o'clock this morning after the driver said she watched the boy get on, then pull a pistol from his backpack and point it at the head of a 12-year-old.

Police got the children off the bus, then found a B-B pistol hidden in the back of a seat where the older boy had been sitting.

He was charged with aggravated assault and carrying a weapon on school property.

There were no injuries in the incident.
