CBHS, Bartlett baseball teams win state

Two Memphis area High School baseball teams were flying high Friday, after leaving the Blue Cross Spring Fling in Murfreesboro with some hardware.

First, CBHS beat Chattanooga McCallie 9-3 to win the Division 2 title. In the 5th inning the Brothers were already up 2 when Blake Forsythe, a Tennessee signee, ripped a 3 run home run. The Brothers are state champs, by the final of 9-3.

Phil Clark takes the Bartlett Panthers to the 3A title game for the second straight year, pounding Knoxville South Doyle 18-7 to win the 3A championship.

In the first, Jacob Wilson almost went yard...off the wall in the right field corner, that scored two.  Then in the 3rd inning... Heath Hatfield just UNLOADED a moon shot for a 3 run home run.

Bartlett wins in a big way capping a tremendous 40-5 season.
