Phil Mickelson Commits to Play in Memphis at Stanford St. Jude Championship

Phil Mickelson, the Worlds' Number-2 ranked golfer, confirmed he will play in next weeks' Stanford St. Jude Championship here in Memphis.

His commitment gives the SSJC the numbers' 5 of the top 10 ranked players in the world, making this one of the strongest fields in the 50-year history of the event.

Mickelson withdrew from the Memorial tournament today with a wrist injury...but said he wants to play before the U.S. Open in 2-weeks.

Defending U.S. Open Champ Geoff Ogilvy also commits today.

The Stanford St. Jude Championship runs June 7th through the 10th at the TPC at Southwind.
