Tigers Long Ball Can't Carry Past Michigan in NCAA Baseball Tournament

The Memphis Tigers return to the NCAA Baseball Tournament takes a slight detour on the road to the College World Series up I-40 to Nashville..

The Tigers found their way to the stadium, but Michigan blocked their path to victory..

The U of M up 2-nothing before the Wolverines mount a big comeback with a 3-run 3rd and a 2-run 5th to take a 5-3 lead...13-hits on the day for Michigan.

Tigers down 9-4 in the 8th when Amar goes yard again.. This one a 2-run shot to left...

That cuts it to 9-to-6.

Memphis down 10-7 in the 9th, but get 2 on for Amar, who's the tying run at the plate...

This time he can't get quite enough on it and flies out to Center to end the game.

Michigan gets the victory 10-to-7

The Nations' top ranked team, Vanderbilt needs 11-innings to get past Austin Peay tonight 2-1.

So the Tigers will play Austin Peay Later today at 2pm in Nashville.

Mississippi State advances to the winners bracket at the Tallahassee Regional beating Stetson 6-3.
