3 youth sex offenders recaptured, Jonesboro police say

JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - Jonesboro police say three youth sex offenders who escaped from a Jonesboro treatment center have been recaptured.

The three -- Marcus Galloway, Shawn Hester and Richard Richards, all 17 years old -- ran out of the treatment center late Thursday night.

They were recaptured last night and early this morning.

When the boys fled, they were accompanied by three girls, who were at the center but not in state custody.

The boys were considered dangerous, but not the girls.

Jonesboro police Sergeant Kenneth Oldham said all six runaways were located -- two at a Jonesboro restaurant last night and four at Poplar Bluff, Missouri, early this morning.

Oldham did not identify where the three boys were located. Oldham said police got a tip that two of the runaways were given a ride from a Waffle House in Jonesboro to an Arby's restaurant, where police later found them.

Oldham said arrangements were made with the Arkansas Health and Human Services Department to pick up the youths in Missouri.
