Nashville jury convicts fmr. game store owner in rape of 11-year-old

He was spotted in Memphis last year before finally being re-captured in Roane County.

Wednesday, a Nashville jury convicted a former game store employee of raping an 11-year-old boy.

Jeremy Duffer was found guilty of all 15 counts against him. Seven of them were child rape charges.

The additional counts related to him cutting off his ankle bracelet and running off with the carnival.

The most compelling piece of evidence was an audiotape of an exchange between Duffer, and the victim's mother.

When asked by the victims mother why he took her son's innocence away from him, Duffer replied, "I don't know. I didn't understand it at the time. I still don't."

Duffer is set to be sentenced next month.
