Operation Take Back: Religious leaders rally to fight crime

While school leaders work to fight back against gangs in schools, religious leaders are taking their fight to the streets.

A massive clean-up operation is scheduled next weekend.

Reverend Dwight Montgomery says ignoring signs there are gangs in your neighborhood is a mistake.

"When you leave graffiti up you open doors for the gangs to increase. There are certain gangs that are not in Memphis but are in other cities. That would probably say well we'll just move on into Memphis because they're not doing anything about what's going on we can move into Memphis and be comfortable doing what we want to do," said Montgomery.

Operation "Take Back Day" is set for Saturday. More than 100-churches have signed up.
