Grizzlies Miller Gets Assist from NBA

Grizzlies Sharp-Shooter Mike Miller is upping his assist ratio these days, as in helping those around him OFF the Court...

And the NBA is recognizing him for it.

Miller is honored with the NBA's Community Assist award for May.

Miller, a South Dakota native, and his wife, recently donated $1 Million Dollars to Sanford Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The money is being used to help build a pediatric intensive care unit.

Among other things, Miller also sponsors M33M, a nationally ranked AAU club featuring most of Memphis Top High School Juniors and Seniors.

The NBA's Community Assist award comes with a $5-thousand dollar donation to the charity of Millers' choice.

Over the Weekend, the Grizzlies received the Steve Patterson award as THE most Philanthropic Major League Sports organization.

The Grizzlies have donated more than $18-Million Dollars to the Memphis Community since moving to the Bluff City 7-years ago.
