The Nascar Craftsman Truck Series makes its' 10th Annual run here in the Bluff City this weekend with the O'Reilly 200.
The Truck series has provided its' share of Thrills, Chills and Spills on the tracks' 3/4 mile Oval...
Veteran Trucker Ron Hornaday won the Inaugural race back in 19-98..
He went on to win the Series Championship that year...
2-years ago, Hornaday led on the Final lap, just a few hundred yards from the checkered flag...but a spinout in front of him on the final turned disastrous, as he was taken out by Brandon Whitt, who went on to win the race in dramatic fashion..
Hornaday finished back in the pack, having to back his way across the finish line.
"2 years ago I had a chance, but there was lot of smoke and I didn't see Whitt. He spun me out went on to win the race. I could have cried. So I'd love to win that Elvis trophy. I have still have a place for it."
Practice laps are Friday at the MotorSports Park at 5pm and again at 7:45.
The 10th Annual O'Reilly 200 is Saturday night under the lights at 8pm.
