Redbirds Swept by Zephyrs

If you like a hot afternoon in the sun, there's no better place than AutoZone Park today...

It's kids day at the corner of 3rd and Union.

Several thousand school children in the house to see the Memphis Redbirds try and avoid getting swept by New Orleans.

In the 4th, Rick Ankiel, the pitcher turned outfielder, unloads with a man on...that's a 2-run bomb under the scoreboard... it's 2-0 Memphis.

That's his 21st homer of the season.

Randy Keilser had it working on the mound taking a shutout into the 7th inning.

But he runs into trouble in the 7th and the bullpen can't bail him out as the Zephyrs put 7 runs on the board.

That really hurts.

The Birds get swept ...the final 7-4.

The Redbirds open a new series against Round Rock Wednesday Night at AutoZone Park.
