Grizzlies Draft Mike Conley, Jr. with #4 Pick

The Memphis Grizzlies hope the Future comes in a Small Package...

Six Foot Point Guard Mike Conley, Jr. Is their MAN with the Number-4 pick in the NBA Draft...

Conley, jr. comes with a boatload of credentials after helping lead Ohio State to the NCAA National Championship game in just his first year in college.

Conley's catlike quickness and ability to get to the rack remind many pro scouts of a young Tony Parker..who, by the way, just happens to be the MVP of the NBA Finals with San Antonio...

The 19-year old Conley averaged just over 11 points, 6 assists and a surprising 3.5 rebounds a game for the Buckeyes...

This will be the first time since Junior High Conley won't play with his boyhood buddy and College teammate..NBA Top Pick Greg Oden.

Conley says:

"This is the first time we won't be playing together in a long time, but we've been waiting for this night...and our moment has come and we will enjoy it."

Oden adds:

"I can't say he played in my shadow.. I played in his shadow most of the season. He led us when I was out at the beginning of the year..and he outplayed me in the tournament.. He was the floor leader. I was a follower."

Conley comes by his athletic talent honestly..

His Dad, Mike Conley, a multi-time Olympic Gold medalist in the Triple Jump who ran track collegiately at Arkansas..

Mike Jr. was a ballboy for the 19-94 National Champion Razorback basketball team.
