Jeremy Hunt/Scooter McFadgon to Play for Grizzlies Summer League Team

Summer Camp gets underway Tuesday for the NBA Memphis Grizzlies...

This ISN'T the Kids camp...

This ones' for players actually trying to make the Roster..

One of them is former University of Memphis guard Jeremy Hunt.

Hunt, who prepped at Craigmont, turned his 6th man role into a starring position for the Tigers last season..

As a 5th year senior, Hunts long range bombing and slashing moves to the his veteran leadership, proved a key ingredient in the U of M's run to a second straight Elite 8 appearance.

Also making a bid to join the Grizzlies is former Tigers and Tennessee star Scooter McFadgon.

The 6'6" Swingman finished his college career at UT in 2005, and has played professionally overseas.

A former Gatorade player of the year out of Raleigh-Egypt, Scooter helped lead the U of M to the NIT Championship in 2002.

Former Mississippi State Guard Winsome Frazier is also on the Grizz Summer Roster.

Other notables who'll definitely come back to camp in the fall..

Top Draft Pick Mike Conley, Jr. along with fellow point guard Kyle Lowry.

Plus Forwards Rudy Gay, Tarence Kinsey and Alexander Johnson,

and big Man Sergie Lishouk, who was drafted by the Grizzlies in 2004, but remained in the Ukraine to finish his European Contract.

This year, the Young Grizz will play in the Las Vegas Summer league.

Action begins Friday night against Yi Jeanlean and the Chinese National Team.
