Grizzlies Target Free Agents

While Iavaroni gets the Young Grizzlies ready, New team General Manager Chris Wallace is busily trying to acquire veteran talent..

The Akron Beacon Journal reports the Grizzlies want Cavaliers Forward Anderson Verajao, and could offer the energetic Forward up to $40-Million Dollars for 5-years.

The Akron Paper reports the Cavs want to keep Verajao, but matching that kind of deal would put them into the luxury tax..which they DON'T want with Drew Gooden being the Starter.

Verajao is currently preparing to play for Brazil in the FIBA Americas' Championship in August.

Another target of the Grizzlies is Chicago Bulls Tough man Andres Nocioni..

Bulls GM John Paxson says his team wants Nocioni back, but understands there are just a few teams with money UNDER the cap, like the Grizzlies, who could steal him.

Nocioni, who teamed with Manu Ginobili to win the Olympic Gold Medal and Basketball World Championship for Argentina, made just $3-Million last year...

One knock, he's recovering from Plantar Facsiitis, which caused him to miss 23-games last season.

And the Grizzlies are keeping an eye out for Big Banger Fabricio Oberto of the NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs...

Another native Argentinian, the 6'10", 245 pound Oberto has played on nothing but winners during his career.

Oberto is an unrestricted Free Agent..meaning he could go to the Grizzlies without compensating the Spurs.
