Memorial service held for dead wrestler's family

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Friends and family have held a memorial service in Florida for the wife and son of professional wrestler Chris Benoit (ben-WAH').

Authorities say the wrestler killed his family and then hanged himself last month at their Georgia home.

The service wasn't open to the media, but some wrestling fans were allowed in. Speaking before the service, World Wrestling Entertainment announcer Jim Ross called the deaths "a real tragedy."

He says it is not a "steroid issue" but rather a domestic one. Anabolic steroids had been found in the Benoits' home, leading officials to wonder if the drugs played a role in the killings.

Toxicology results on the three have not been released.

Nancy Benoit's parents live in Daytona Beach, where the service was held.
