Daly Leads British Open.......Briefly

We've seen it Many times...

Memphian John Daly entices the golfing world with great play...

Only to fold up like a cheap suit somewhere along the way..

And Daly goes a LONG way to fold up this time..

Round one of the British Open at Carnustie, Scotland.

Big John holes and Eagle from the fairway on the 11th hole..

That shot puts him in the lead at 5-under par...

It's a lead that wouldn't last...

On the very next hole, Daly misses a tap in put for a bogey..

Takes a double bogey 6 on the hole and drops to minus 3.

You get the picture..

On the 14th, Daly's chip out of the rough doesn't make it to the green..

That's a triple bogey 8..

He finishes the round with a 3OVER par 71...

Sergio Garcia is your first round Leader at minus 6.

Tiger Woods is in at 2-under..

Memphian Shaun Micheel in contention with a 1-under 70.

And Germantowns' Loren Roberts, like Daly is at 3-over par.
