TBI asked to investigation Bradley County inmate death

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (AP) - An inmate in the Bradley County jail has died after collapsing in his cell.

Jeff Ingram's cellmate told investigators the 42-year-old had been exercising in his cell on Thursday when he fell to the floor.

Sheriffs office spokesman Bob Gault says Ingram received CPR and then was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Sheriff Tim Gobble has asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to review the incident.

Ingram was being held without bond on a probation violation. He had been in jail for approximately one month.
