A Mid-South family is mourning the loss of a teenaged loved one after a deadly weekend crash.
The teen's name is David Boyd. Many in Memphis will know his family from their chain of D'Bo's restaurants around the city.
Boyd's death is a shock to everyone.
Boyd died early Saturday morning when his SUV hit a light pole and over turned on Fite Road. Relatives talked about the young man who was loved by everyone.
"You don't believe it life without my cousin he was just full energy he loved his family he loved his friends there was no one who met him you just felt that energy you just felt that love," said cousin Neile Jones.
Relatives said Boyd was a sophomore at Moorehouse College in Atlanta and was on his way back to school when the accident happened.
Boyd's Godmother Vicky Rose added, "its not the end but his home going and he was saved and knew the lord and the bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord and of course his mother was saying ah that jesus has him now land we just celebrate."
Boyd was just 19-years-old. Relatives said his goal was to graduate from college and go into business.
