Gambling NBA Ref Pleads Guilty to Two Felonies

Former NBA referee Tim Donaghy traded the basketball court for Federal Court today in New York, pleaded guilty today in New York to felony charges of taking cash payoffs from gamblers and betting on games he officiated.

Two of Donaghy's alleged conspirators, who are NOT affiliated with the League, also turned themselves in.

Donaghy was ordered to pay a Half-Million Dollar fine, and faces up to 25 years in prison when he's sentenced.

NBA Commissioner David Stern says No Other Referees or players are thought to be involved in this scandal.
