Tigers Prepare to Air It Out on Offense

The Memphis Tigers Football team skipped a planned First Scrimmage last weekend because Head Coach Tommy West said his team just wasn't ready.

That's not the case now, at least, offensively.

The Tigers take to the sizzling Fieldturf at the Liberty Bowl for Full Scrimmage Number One of Fall Camp.

The new leaner, meaner, Martin Hankins has really developed a rapport with his receiving corp...this long bomb for a Touchdown to 6'3" Juco Transfer Steven Black.. just one of the highlights from the scrimmage.

The air attack will be key this season...

West says it doesn't matter where his team is on the field..the Tigers will be Pass First and Run Second.

He says it doesn't matter if the team is on the 1 yard line coming out...it's going up.

But, the Tigers are struggling in the placekicking department..

Sophomore Matt Reagan had problems clearing the line on several field goal attempts..and just skipped across others.

Coaches hope he gets the mojo back that helped him earn All-Conference USA honors as a Freshman last season.
