Tennessee Task Force One heads to hurricane zone

Tennessee Task Force One left Memphis early Monday morning on a mission to help in a possible hurricane zone.

Members headed to Dallas, Texas, where they'll wait out Hurricane Dean, and then move in to help with rescue efforts if they are needed.

Eighty members of the Task Force, specially trained in urban search and rescue, boarded two tour buses Monday to make the trip.

Member Deborah Burnett said she joined Tennessee Task Force One because she wanted to help.

"If you are under the rubble, or your child was, you'd want someone there quick," she said.  "We don't want to leave you any longer than you have to be."

Tennessee Task Force One has aided rescue missions after 11 other hurricanes, including Katrina and Rita.  It also helped at the Pentagon after the September 11th terrorist attacks.
