Memphis Grizzlies Guard Mike Miller didn't shoot particularly well in Team USA's blowout victory over Venezuela Wednesday night...
But, that may be the least of his worries..
Just 1:30 left in the game at Las Vegas, the U.S. In total control when Miller drives the lane on a block/charge call...
He lands wrong and turns an ankle....
Mike leaves the court under his own power, but heads straight for the lockerroom.
Grizzlies Media Relations Director Stacey Mitch received a text message from Miller after the game saying he is O.K. He will play in the USA's next game Thursday night.
Mike contributed to the US' 112 to 69 romp by scoring 10-points and grabbing 4-rebounds.. Plus, he gets a steal and a breakaway Dunk for good measure..
Miller hit only 4 of 10 from the floor, and only 2 of 8 from beyond the arc, but that didn't stop ESPN commentator and NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton from heaping praise on him, and the Grizz.
Walton says Miller is just the kind of shooter Team USA Needs.. and he wishes good luck on the fans who Memphis who, Walton says, are starved for a big winner.. Great Fans, and the team is making strong moves to get better, with Juan Carlos Navarro coming in, and Marc Iavaroni, everybody's Hot Coaching Prospect, taking over as Head Coach. Walton can't wait to see how that plays out.
The Americans turned the game into a track meet early and never let up.
Kobe Bryant teamed with LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony on several fast break Jams...
Bryant also gets into the act for the USA Highlight Reel..
The Americans win 112-to-69.
Team USA plays the Virgin Islands Thursday night in Las Vegas.
