UNDATED (AP) - The week is ending as it began in Tennessee, with very hot and dry weather.
There's a heat advisory in effect until 7 p.m. for the western half of Tennessee.
Nashville is expected to be the hot spot today, with a predicted high temperature of 102 degrees. Memphis and Chattanooga are expected to reach 100 degrees, Knoxville 98 and the Tri-Cities 96.
The National Weather Service says a bit of relief should come tomorrow as a front pushes into the Ohio Valley.
It will bring Tennessee slightly cooler weather with a chance of showers and thundershowers.
Temperatures are expected to return to more normal late summer readings next week.
