A gas leak Saturday morning closed two busy Memphis intersections.
It happened around 10:00 a.m. on Ridgeway between Poplar and Park.
Officials said a crew working to repave the parking lot at the Crescent Club building hit a pipe, causing the leak.
Police and fire workers shut down the intersections of Ridgeway at Poplar and at Park as a precautionary measure.
MLGW workers were able to bring the leak under control by 11:00 a.m., allowing those intersections to be reopened.
