Missouri Offense Too Much For Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Chase Daniel set a career record with 396 total yards today (Saturday) as Missouri sprinted past Mississippi to a 28-point lead then held on for a 38-25 win. It was the eighth time in the last nine games that Daniel had 309 or more total yards of offense. But the Tigers' failure to hold the Rebels down in the second half will continue the debate about Missouri's Top 25 worthiness that started last week against Illinois.

Ole Miss quarterback Seth Adams led the Rebels' push, completing 23 of 41 passes for 305 yards and three touchdowns in his second start. His scoring passes of 68 yards to Mike Wallace and 3 yards to Greg Hardy in the third quarter cut Missouri's lead to 38-19. And BenJarvus Green-Ellis cut it to 38-25 with a 2-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. But failed conversions cost Ole Miss five points and the team's mistakes in the first half, including Green-Ellis' fumble at the Missouri 7, helped guarantee the loss.
