The 2007 NFL season is off with a bang for the Tennessee Titans. When Travis Henry took his 1200 yards to Denver in the off season, everyone was wondering how the Titans running game would be. Well they answered loud and clear in game 1.
Chris Brown from Naperville, Illinois looked more like Jim Brown against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had a career high 175 yards rushing...combining with Lendale White and Vince Young for a franchise record 282 yards on the ground. The Titans offensive line manhandled the Jaguars up front but barely won.
From the shootgun in the 3rd quarter, Young went up the middle for a 2 yard touchdown and the Titans took the lead 13-10.
In the 4th the Jags were driving, David Garrard completed a pass to Maurice Jones Drew deep in Titans territory but Drew fumbled and the Titans' Chris Hope recovered. A crucial mistake for Jacksonville and the Titans win on opening day 13-10.
