Tenn. Lottery offers refunds after misprinting jackpot figure

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Lottery will give refunds to lottery players after some lottery tickets showed an incorrect Powerball jackpot.

Some Lotto 5, Cash 3 and Cash 4 tickets printed last week showed Saturday's Powerball jackpot as $29 million instead of $15 million.

Lottery spokeswoman Kym Gerlock said the problem occurred when vendor GTECH neglected to change the Powerball jackpot figure on tickets after someone won the $29 million Powerball jackpot on Wednesday.

Last month, a computer glitch prevented duplicate numbers from being drawn in Cash 3 and Cash 4 games. Lottery officials also offered refunds or extra tickets to players for that error.
