Day care closed after baby left alone

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A Nashville day care is closed indefinitely after employees left a 5-month-old baby in a crib and went home for the day.

The baby's grandmother, Sebrenna Zackery, arrived at Dee's Magic Castle Unlimited Daycare Center at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Through the window, she could see the baby kicking its feet but the door was locked. Firefighters knocked down the door and the child was unharmed.

No charges have been filed against any of the day care employees, but the Department of Children's Services is investigating.

The Department of Human Services has had at least 12 complaints against the day care since it opened in 2005.
