This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to David Dailey. Dailey is one of several people who wrote to complain about the recent firings at the Germantown Performing Arts Center.

Three theater employees there were fired for tying stage rigging ropes into hangman's knots. An African American coworker complained of a hostile work environment when he saw the nooses.

In David Dailey's words:

"It would really be beneficial if someone could explain why a noose-like knot is more offensive to a black person than any other person.  People of all nationalities have been hung in the past and I don't see why it's more offensive to blacks than anyone else.  I believe we are going a little overboard by firing someone over something that seems so trivial."

That's David Dailey's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
