Man accused of murder wants children removed from wife's custody

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A man accused of murdering a teenager who allegedly had an affair with his wife wants his children removed from her custody.

Eric McLean faces a second-degree murder charge in the death of Sean Powell. He believed the 18-year-old was having an affair with his wife Erin, who was Powell's english teacher.

Now Erin has gone missing with the children and her husband plans to ask for an emergency order to remove them from her care.

Eric McLean's attorney, Bruce Poston, said he will meet with this client's divorce attorney on Monday to draft the petition.

Poston said the children could be in danger.

But Erin McLean's attorney has said he doesn't believe she would harm them.
