Man walks away from small plane wreck in Tenn. River

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A man suffered minor injures today after his small plane crashed just short of the runway at a Knoxville airport.

Authorities say the crash happened at Skyranch Airport, and the plane ended up in the Tennessee River.

The pilot was taken to UT Medical Center with cuts on his face. TV station WVLT identified the man as 65-year-old Albertus Wolfkamp of Lenoir City.

Wolfkamp, who was the only person in the plane, experienced what witnesses described as engine failure.
