Meth lab found in north Shelby County

A Shelby County man was taken into custody Saturday after Sheriff's Deputies busted a meth lab behind his home.

Investigators said they found the lab while looking for a man involved in a separate domestic violence incident in the 9500 block of Monasco.

While searching for the man involved in the domestic dispute, deputies found a meth lab in a storage barn behind a nearby house.  The owner of the barn was arrested, and another man was taken into custody for questioning.

Neighbors told Action News 5 they've notice suspicious activity there before.

"You can look across the street and see they've got some spotlights and stuff going on and hear some loud music and it sounds like they're partying and stuff and you'd wake up 6:30 the next morning and go to work and it's like they never went to bed," said neighbor Justin Palmer.

It was the ninth meth lab this year to be found in Shelby County.

The domestic violence suspect has not yet been caught.
