YOUR TURN: Susan Melton-Piper wants people to work together

This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Susan Melton-Piper of Whiteville, Tennessee. She's unhappy with the politicians in Hardeman County and with Memphis Mayor Willie Herenton. She wants people to work together to eliminate discrimination in our region.

In her words:

"You are all public servants and it does not matter who started whatever divisiveness that has taken place.  One of your most important tasks is to bring people together.  Those of you who continue to practice this 21st century version of the "good old boy" system so that you may personally benefit from it are the ones responsible for the increasing crime, hatred, and mistrust that only serves to divide Memphis and surrounding towns and counties.  Discrimination comes in countless forms that have nothing to do with skin color."

That's Susan Melton-Piper's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210.
