RiverKings Ready to Start Central Hockey League Season

The Mississippi RiverKings start their season for Real on the Ice Friday night...

The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will invade the DeSoto Civic Center Friday night in the Central Hockey League Opener..

The 'Kings are coming off a deep run in the playoffs last year that saw them come up 1 series short of the finals..

Head Coach Kevin McClelland says he's looking to repeat, but so is everybody else.

McClelland says each team in the Northern Conference has improved his roster with players from top Junior Programs. He says the 'Kings bring back most of their top veterans, like All-Star Derek Landmesser, goaltender Larry Sterling, and Forward Louis DuMond..

That experience should help the team as the season wears on.

The Puck drops on the Season 7:05 Friday night at the D.C.C.

against Bossier-Shreveport.
