Hunt continues for Mid-South murder suspect

Mid-South investigators, police in Nashville and even the US Marshals are searching for Jason Bobo.

He's wanted for the brutal murders of two restaurant employees in Nashville.

But he has ties to Memphis. In fact, one of Bobo's former co-workers says Jason Bobo has been in trouble before but never been accused of anything so serious.

When Andre Taylor heard Police were looking for Jason Bobo, he was surprised. "It's still a shocker to me. I'm still in shock by it," says Taylor.

But when he heard his old neighbor was wanted for shooting two men execution-style, he was dumbfounded. "It's something I can say I know a killer now. Everybody's claimin' they wanna be a killer. I know one for real. But it's just sad to say it," adds Taylor.

Neighbors say they've seen police around Bobo's house before and turns out, he does have a record.

Local investigators say he's been arrested twice on drug charges. But Taylor says, he never imagined Bobo was capable of anything like this. "From drug possession to killing two people, it's a big gap inbetween," says Taylor.

Taylor and Bobo worked together at a local moving company for a short time, and both grew up in the neighborhood.

Taylor says the last time they talked a couple months ago, Bobo seemed to be trying to make something of himself. He had just moved to Nashville to go to school.

Law enforcement officials are still hunting him down. And police are hot on his trail. They say Bobo was spotted on a bicycle at a Penny Pantry in Northaven around 5:00 Sunday night.

Taylor says he just hopes police catch him before he hurts someone else. "Going to work and you got somebody there trying to rob you. Next thing you know, you dead. It's just hard out here. You never know what's around the corner."

If you have any information that could help officers catch Jason Bobo please call Crimestoppers at 901-528 CASH.
